2015 Plan

For this year, I’m planning on working through the Books of Moses and of Abraham, with commentary where suitable.  Just an update.

  1. Looking forward to it, though I see every discussion about the book of Abraham as being controversial.

  2. Damon,

The division of thought behind the First Vision is perplexing. Joseph saw Jehovah. But did he actually see God the Father also? I am not sure. I think like all history, it was emphasized for the purpose of distinction between the beings. He heard His voice as in the time of Jesus baptism. I believe in the scripture that says “no man has seen God at any time”, even though the JST makes certain categorical changes. In other writings it expounds on the idea, that an exalted being cannot appear before the mortal because they would disintegrate. Therefore, God the Father couldn’t visit the boy Joseph. Your youtube video on the subject is interesting. We really don’t know God very well. We have invented “truths” throughout the years ass if they were reality.Jehovah in His condescended state could have visited Joseph and is plausible. The simile with the boy lying about a vision was genius to structure your point.
